    Framer Review (2026)

Framer is the design-first site builder for teams that ship marketing pages and brand sites fast. Real-time motion design, AI-assisted layouts, and a visual canvas that feels like Figma-meets-Webflow. In 2026 it's eaten serious market share from Webflow on the marketing-site side. It's not the right tool for content-heavy CMS work — but for landing pages and brand sites, almost nothing is faster.

Every score uses our 7-dimension methodology.

    What we like

    • Fastest path from blank canvas to shipped marketing site in the category.
    • Motion and interaction design built in — no plugins, no jank.
    • AI tools genuinely accelerate first-draft layouts.
    • Free tier is workable for indie projects.

    Where it falls short

    • CMS is improving but still shallow vs Webflow for content-heavy sites.
    • E-commerce is not the use case — point Framer at landing pages instead.
    • Custom code escape hatches are fewer than Webflow's.
